TRENDS AUTUMN-WINTER 2011/2012

Checks: whether lumberjack-style checks, tartans, glen checks or Oxfords: for shirts, blouses, suits and accessories, checks are on trend. Chinos: with or without pleats, for leisure and business, elegant or in trendy washes – best casually crumpled. Chunky knits: pullovers, cardigans, caps, scarves and loop scarves incorporate rustic structures and traditional patterns such as jacquard, Norwegian and cable stitch. Lambskin: the must-have of the season is lambskin in the form of a biker jacket, waistcoat or coat. Or as a cuddly detail for field jacket collars or parka hoods. Tailoring: the new generation of English tailoring provides men’s suits and sports jackets with perfect cuts and fashionably narrow silhouettes. Tweed: chunky, napped yarns provide a mottled surface. Traditional fabrics such as Harris tweed, herringbone twill and Donegal represent an assured British style.
